Austrian Ranger Association

The Austrian Ranger Association is a global forum for nature conservation initiatives. A tight network facilitates collaboration on conservation projects and promotes learning from one another through successful examples. Furthermore, it supports international technology and information exchange.

Origins

The idea of an Austrian Ranger Association originated at the first Ranger Congress in 1995 in Poland, Zakopane National Park. Since then, individual Austrian rangers have participated in various international meetings, in Costa Rica and Tanzania to name a few. The association was officially founded in 2019 at the congress in Nepal by Birgit Gruber, Manuela Jenicek, Gabriela Kleesadl, and Natalia Wrbka.
